Hi everyone! It has been about a month since I last posted. Today, I am posting about the traditional Valentines day card poem. You know the one:
"Roses are red,
Violets are blue.
Sugar is sweet,
And so are you."
Here is my response to this poem. I wrote my own. Here it is:
"My input on Valentines Day"
'Roses are red, Violets are blue.
That's what they say and it just isn't true.
Whoever wrote that might go back to school.
I KNOW violets are violet.
Do they think I'm a fool?
If I'm gonna put a poem on a card,
I want something true, solid, and hard.
If you want to write poems that rhyme and are great,
First, please make sure that you get your facts straight.
Let's go back to the beginning, let's go back to the start.
Let's make a new poem that is actually smart.
The first step we'll take is to make the facts true.
But we'll also make it rhyme, cause that's cool too.
Second, let's make sure it's original, and ours.
But I'm not sure if we'll still use the flowers.
Someone has done that, the theme is not new.
But it's not my decision, it's up to you.
If you want to make poems on Valentines cards,
Remember that rhyming will be somewhat hard.
A quick note would be fine,
It doesn't have to sound awesome.
It doesn't have to mention different colored blossoms.
Use capitalization, punctuation, be neat.
This one special person will think THAT quite a feat.
If you want to make a poem that is pretty and an art,
One thing to make sure of,
Is that it comes, from the heart.'
Yes, I wrote that myself. Even though this is true, I couldn't fit it on a card. Maybe I should shorten it for next year...
Happy Valentines Day! ~Ryan M.

A New Year!!! And update.
Wahoo! 2012!!! Happy New Year everybody!
Right now, I am in New Mexico. We took a road trip and along the way, we stopped in Colorado to see Focus on the Family and visit Brock Eastman. He showed us some really cool stuff and we got to meet some of the people who work on Adventures in Odyssey. Thank you Brock, for everything.
While we were driving, I took lots of cool pictures. Most of them are horizons photographed from the car window. Once we got to New Mexico and had settled in at our house, I started making a crazy video. I was thinking about how ridiculous infomercials are so I made my own ridiculous infomercial. I 'm actually going to post it on YouTube within a day or two. Just search, "97RyanCummings" and you will find my videos.
In my next post, I will show some of the pictures taken while traveling.
Until next time! ~Ryan M.

Awesomeness!!!
I got another awesome offer from Brock Eastman! After I did the reviews on HowlSage, he asked me to do a daily review on his blog about his other book, Taken!
It is an awesome book and great for people who like sci-fi/ action books. It also has the kind of technology of star wars movies (space ship, Hyper Flight, and sky scooters!)
It is an awesome book! (I know I already said it but this book warrants more than one "awesome" praise) and I highly recommend it. If you do decide to read it, it would be great if you could go to www.thequestfortruthbooks.com and read my posts and comment on them!

How God Has Blessed Me
So, I haven't posted on here for a while. Here what's been going on so far.
My favorite thing that happened was that Brock Eastman, my favorite writer, asked me to discuss his book chapters each day of October on his blog at www.thequestfortruthbooks.blogspot.com! It has been an honor for me to do that! Thank you Brock Eastman for the opportunity!
Also, I got album 54 of Adventures in Odyssey! It was a great set! Now I can't wait for album 55. I also went on a scavenger hunt all around Noblesville with my church. That was lots of fun too! (I will repay you Zach for doing me that favor)
Another great honor was to get to play for my praise band at Awana! I am sorry I haven't been posting any comics lately. I am still trying to think of lots of great ones so that I can perfect them and give lots of them.
Okay, this is a new habit. I got it when posting on Brock Eastman's blog. Now I sign my name at the bottom of my post.
Until next time! ~Ryan M.

A sunburn, 4-square, and an awesome experience.
I spent this past week at camp Allendale. I got... sunburned, and my feet kind of hurt because my cabin was about the farthest from almost everything and I did a lot of hiking. However, it was still awesome. I got to play four square, do the zipline and giant swing, go rock climbing (if you count getting about 5 feet and then realizing that my arms aren't long enough to reach the next rocks), archery and much more. I also got to meet some great friends and experience some incredible worship this week. I highly recommend Camp Allendale, the giant swing, and putting sunscreen on before spending the day in the sun. I am now going to go to sleep and rest. Goodnight!
