Awesomeness!!!

I got another awesome offer from Brock Eastman! After I did the reviews on HowlSage, he asked me to do a daily review on his blog about his other book, Taken!

It is an awesome book and great for people who like sci-fi/ action books. It also has the kind of technology of star wars movies (space ship, Hyper Flight, and sky scooters!)

It is an awesome book! (I know I already said it but this book warrants more than one "awesome" praise) and I highly recommend it. If you do decide to read it, it would be great if you could go to www.thequestfortruthbooks.com and read my posts and comment on them!

Until next time! ~Ryan M.

How God Has Blessed Me

So, I haven't posted on here for a while. Here what's been going on so far.

My favorite thing that happened was that Brock Eastman, my favorite writer, asked me to discuss his book chapters each day of October on his blog at www.thequestfortruthbooks.blogspot.com! It has been an honor for me to do that! Thank you Brock Eastman for the opportunity!

Also, I got album 54 of Adventures in Odyssey! It was a great set! Now I can't wait for album 55. I also went on a scavenger hunt all around Noblesville with my church. That was lots of fun too! (I will repay you Zach for doing me that favor)

Another great honor was to get to play for my praise band at Awana! I am sorry I haven't been posting any comics lately. I am still trying to think of lots of great ones so that I can perfect them and give lots of them.

Okay, this is a new habit. I got it when posting on Brock Eastman's blog. Now I sign my name at the bottom of my post.

Until next time! ~Ryan M.

Book signing in Illinois!

The week before last, I got to go to a book signing in Illinois. Brock Eastman was signing his books, Howlsage, Taken, and Showdown With the Shepherd. I bought all of them and got them all signed by Brock. For those of you who have no idea who I am talking about, Brock Eastman job is marketing for Focus On the Family and he has written the books I just mentioned. He and I both like Adventures in Odyssey and I got to take a picture with him. It was great to meet you Brock!

A sunburn, 4-square, and an awesome experience.

I spent this past week at camp Allendale. I got... sunburned, and my feet kind of hurt because my cabin was about the farthest from almost everything and I did a lot of hiking. However, it was still awesome. I got to play four square, do the zipline and giant swing, go rock climbing (if you count getting about 5 feet and then realizing that my arms aren't long enough to reach the next rocks), archery and much more. I also got to meet some great friends and experience some incredible worship this week. I highly recommend Camp Allendale, the giant swing, and putting sunscreen on before spending the day in the sun. I am now going to go to sleep and rest. Goodnight!

Geocaches

Today I found out about the coolest thing. There are caches (containers that contain items of some kind) hidden all over the place. They are of different sizes and of different difficulty to find. There is one that I heard of that you have to dive for in the sea. My family and I went out to the closest and easiest geocache in our area and found it almost instantly, taking no less than 5 minutes to find it. At the website, they have directions for the general area in which the geocaches are hidden. Their website called http://www.geocaching.com/ . You can use a special GPS system to find it (which is much easier than a blind search) or try to find it on your own if it is in an easy enough location (like the one we found today). When you find the cache, you are allowed to take one of the items that are inside but you have to replace the item with something of equal or greater value. We took a bouncy ball from inside it and replaced it with a dollar coin. You also have to update the log book inside the cache to show that you found it. they have special prizes to the people who find the new geocaches first. There are currently 1,384,446 active geocaches in the world. We are going to start making it a weekend activity. It is very fun and something that I would recomend for a summer activity.

AIO contest

I have mentioned before that I am a big fan of Adventures in Odyssey. Anyone else who is interested can enter a new contest that Focus on the Family is doing. They are seeing who can make the best Odyssey Dollar and send it in(go to aiowiki.com to learn more. Just look in the red news section at the bottom of the page.)The finalists get an Odyssey poster and the winners get album #54, "Clanging Symbols and the Meaning of God's Love" a couple of months before it is available to the public. I am so excited!

First comic strip.

This comic strip was made using a paint program that I have installed on my computer. Sometimes I will use this technique to make my comic strips but I prefer to draw them. I hope you enjoy this comic strip!

My very first post!

This is my very first post for my new blog! I am so excited! Here is some information as to what my blog is going to be about. I draw a comic strip called The Homeschooler's Day. It is about the day to day experiences of a family of homeschoolers. It features characters that resemble my family. My blog will mostly be featuring my comic strip. I will post interesting things that I am doing on this blog as well.
Here is some information as to what I am like. I have one brother, two sisters and two cats. I like to listen to Adventures in Odyssey (a radio show) and my favorite author is Jerry B. Jenkins. I play piano and I am starting to play guitar. I am a Christian and I am also homeschooled.
Following this post I will reveal the first comic strip for The Homeschooler's day. I hope you have fun reading my blog.
